Google Maps shows "For development purposes only"

This error message often indicates that the Google Cloud project associated with your Google Maps API either does not have a Billing Account associated with it or your credit card has expired.

Google Maps requires a Billing account to be associated with the Google Cloud project you previously set up. You can read more about that here if you don't have a Google Cloud Project.
